Amiram Gill, Adv., Founder & CEO
Amiram is a lawyer, advisor, and lecturer with 16 years of professional experience in regulation, government affairs, public policy, corporate law, and capital markets.
As a practitioner in the private sector, Amiram advised companies, business unions, investment funds, start-ups, executives, investors, and entrepreneurs on behalf of leading law firms in Israel and the U.S. In the public sector, Amiram worked with the Corporations and Capital Markets division of the Israeli Ministry of Justice, Office of the Legal Counsel & Legislative Affairs.
Amiram founded the first Capital Markets Legal Clinic in Israeli academia, leading it at the Interdisciplinary Center Herzliya (IDC) and before that at the College of Law & Business in Ramat Gan (CLB).
In this capacity, Amiram drafted legal opinions, position papers, legislative bills, and proposed regulations. He also published empirical studies and professional articles around capital markets issues.
Amiram played an active role in the legislation process of the Law for the Promotion of Competition and Reduction of Concentration (PCRC) in Israel. As part of this process, he appeared before the cross-governmental committee on the PCRC and before the Finance Committee at the Knesset.
Working with the Israeli Securities Authority and the Ministry of Justice, Amiram contributed to the drafting of Amendment 22 to the Israeli Companies Law, which successfully passed in the Knesset as part of the PCRC. The Amendment strengthened audit committees in companies listed on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
Amiram also appeared before the Andorn Cross-Governmental Committee on Debt Restructuring Settlements, before financial regulators, and before the Economy and the Judiciary Committees at the Knesset.
Amiram successfully litigated the first Amicus Curia (“Friend of the Court”) argued before the Financial Court in Israel. Subsequently, the Court decided that the Capital Markets Clinic would become the first Amicus to join a shareholder claim heard before it.
Amiram taught corporate and business law at the IDC and at the CLB, lectured at corporate director training sessions, and published with law journals in the U.S. and Israel. His work has been covered extensively by the Israeli financial media and he is regularly invited to appear as an expert and a speaker in interviews, panels, and conferences.
In 2013, Amiram was selected by TheMarker Magazine as one of Israel’s 40 Promising Professionals Under 40.
Amiram holds an LL.B (Magna Cum Laude) from Tel Aviv University and a J.S.M. (LL.M with a research thesis) from Stanford Law School. He is a graduate of the executive training program in financial reports, evaluations, and risk analysis at the IDC.
